Alexander Toeldte, President & CEO, Boise Inc.

Mr. Toeldte has served as the company’s president and chief executive officer and director since February 2008. He joined Boise Cascade Holdings, L.L.C., in early October 2005 as president of the company’s Packaging and Newsprint segment and, in late October 2005, became its executive vice president, Paper and Packaging and Newsprint segments. From 2004 to 2006, Alexander was Chair of Algonac Limited, a private management and consulting firm based in Auckland, New Zealand.

Mr. Toeldte's previous experience includes: serving as executive vice president of Fonterra Co-operative Group, Ltd., and chief executive officer of Fonterra Enterprises (Fonterra, based in New Zealand, is a global dairy company.) Mr. Toeldte also served in various capacities with Fletcher Challenge Limited Group (formerly one of the largest companies in New Zealand with holdings in paper, forestry, building materials, and energy), including as chief executive officer of Fletcher Challenge Building and of Fletcher Challenge Paper, both of which were publicly traded units of the Fletcher Challenge Limited Group, and served as a partner at McKinsey & Company in Toronto, Brussels, Montreal, and Stockholm.

Mr. Toeldte is the chairman of the board of directors of the American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA). He has studied economics at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität in Freiburg, Germany, and received an MBA from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.



Judy Lassa - Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer - Boise Inc.

Ms. Lassa has served as executive vice president and chief operating officer since January 2013. Ms. Lassa served as senior vice president of our paper and specialty products operations from November 2010 to December 2012. From February 2008 to October 2010, Ms. Lassa served as vice president of our Packaging segment. From October 2004 to February 2008, Ms. Lassa served as vice president, Packaging, of Boise Cascade, L.L.C. Prior to 2004, Ms. Lassa served in a number of capacities with Boise Cascade Corporation, including vice president, Packaging, and packaging business leader. Ms. Lassa received a B.S. in Paper Science and Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.


Sam Cotterell - Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer - Boise, Inc.

Mr. Cotterell has served as our senior vice president and chief financial officer since January 2011. From February 2008 to December 2010, Mr. Cotterell served as our vice president and controller. From October 2004 to February 2008, Mr. Cotterell served as vice president and controller of Boise Cascade, L.L.C. Prior to 2004, Mr. Cotterell served as director of financial reporting of Boise Cascade Corporation. Mr. Cotterell received a B.A. in Spanish from the University of Idaho, a B.S. in Accounting from Boise State University, and a Masters of International Business from the American Graduate School of International Management. Mr. Cotterell is a certified public accountant.



Bob Strenge - Senior Vice President, Technology and Supply Chain - Boise, Inc.

Mr. Strenge has served as senior vice president of our technology and supply chain functions since March 2012. From April 2008 to February 2012, Mr. Strenge served as senior vice president of our paper manufacturing operations. From February 2008 to April 2008, Mr. Strenge served as vice president of our Newsprint segment. From October 2004 to February 2008, Mr. Strenge served as vice president of the Newsprint segment of Boise Cascade, L.L.C. Prior to 2004, Mr. Strenge served in a number of capacities with Boise Cascade Corporation, including vice president of its DeRidder operations and paper mill manager. Mr. Strenge received a B.S. in Pulp and Paper Technology from Syracuse University.


Dave Kunz - Corporate Vice President, Packaging - Boise, Inc.

Mr. Kunz has served as our corporate vice president, packaging since March 2012. At that time, he also added executive oversight of our Tharco operations to his responsibilities. From August 2011 to February 2012, Mr. Kunz served as vice president, Corrugated and Containerboard. From January 2011 to July 2011, Mr. Kunz served as general manager of our corrugated and containerboard operations. From 2001 to December 2010, Mr. Kunz served as general manager of our plants in Salt Lake City, Utah; Nampa, Idaho; and Sparks, Nevada, managing and leading full-line and heavy-weight corrugated container operations, as well as sheet plant operations. Prior to that time, Mr. Kunz served in a number of capacities with Boise Cascade Corporation, including director of office papers treasury operations, office papers senior financing associate, forms and converting papers sales representative, corrugated container sales representative, audit supervisor, and auditor. Mr. Kunz also served as vice president of sales and manufacturing of Crown Technology Corporation. Mr. Kunz received a B.A. in Accounting and Finance from Boise State University and obtained a CPA from the State of Idaho.


Mark Haser - Corporate Vice President, Manufacturing - Boise, Inc.

Mr. Haser has served as corporate vice president, manufacturing, since May 2013. From March 2010 to April 2013, Mr. Haser served as mill manager at our DeRidder, Louisiana, mill. Before joining Boise, Mr. Haser served from March 2008 to March 2010 as mill manager for SP Newsprint in Dublin, Georgia. Prior to 2008, Mr. Haser held several roles at SP Newsprint, including production manager and operations manager. Before joining SP Newsprint, Mr. Haser worked in positions of increasing responsibility at Alabama River Newsprint and Willamette Industries. Mr. Haser began his career in 1987 as a project engineer at James River Corporation. Mr. Haser received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University in 1987.


Virginia Aulin - Corporate Vice President, Human Resources and Corporate Affairs - Boise, Inc.

Ms. Aulin has served as our corporate vice president, human resources and corporate affairs, since February 2008. From 2005 to February 2008, she served as vice president, Communications and Corporate Affairs, of Boise Cascade, L.L.C. Ms. Aulin has 18 years of strategic communications and public affairs experience, including a variety of positions with TimberWest Forest Corp., Weyerhaeuser Company, MacMillan Bloedel Ltd., and Burson-Marsteller Public Affairs. Ms. Aulin received a B.A. in Honours Political Science from the University of British Columbia, a Master of Arts in Journalism from the University of Western Ontario, and a Master of Philosophy in International Relations from Oxford University in England.


Matt Saxe - Director of Safety and Corporate Projects - Boise, Inc.

Mr. Saxe is a native of New York, born and raised in Rochester. He has a BS in paper science and engineering from the College of Environmental Science and Forestry, Syracuse University.

He began his career with Boise in 1978 at the pulp and paper mill in Rumford, Maine, where he worked for 17 years, as process engineer, production engineer and production manager. In 1995 Matt was named production manager at the DeRidder mill, and later served as operations manager. He worked with the Paper Sales and Marketing group on a year-long Decision Quality project before becoming the mill manager at the St. Helens pulp and paper mill in August 2002. During his 5-year tenure, St. Helens set new standards in safety, production and energy efficiency. Mr. Saxe spent a year at the Wallula mill before taking on a new assignment as Director of Safety and Corporate Projects
