Golf in Sarasota

Designed by legendary architect Donald Ross, who considered Sara Bay among his personal favorites, the course is widely recognized as one of Florida’s finest classic golf courses. Tee time is Feb. 23 at 1:00 PM and green fees are $150. Golf club rentals are limited. Please contact Marilyn Jeans at  404-580-7923 for further information. The golf course is located 6.4 miles from the hotel and is about an 18 minute drive.

Sarasota/Bradenton International Airport (SRQ)

Total Est. Distance: 4 miles

  1. Depart Sarasota Airport by turning right onto University Parkway. Immediately get into the left hand lane.
  2. Turn left at the first light, US 41 (Tamiami Trail).
  3. Continue on US 41 (Tamiami Trail) for approximately four miles. The entrance to The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota will be on your right hand side, just after the intersection of Fruitville Road and US 41
    (Tamiami Trail).

Tampa International Airport (TPA) 

Total Est. Distance: 65 miles

  1. Depart Tampa Airport, follow signs to I-275 South (St. Petersburg).
  2. Continue over the Howard Frankland Bridge, through St. Petersburg to the Skyway Bridge ($1 toll).
  3. Continue over the Skyway Bridge and I-275 will merge with I-75.
  4. Take I-75 South towards Naples.
  5. From I-75, take Exit 210, Fruitville Road West (right turn onto Fruitville).
  6. Follow Fruitville Road approximately eight miles to US 41 (Tamiami Trail).
  7. Turn left on US 41 (Tamiami Trail) and immediately get into the right hand lane.
  8. After 500 feet, turn right into the paved brick entrance of The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota.

From The Ritz-Carlton Hotel to The Ritz-Carlton Members Golf Club, Sarasota

  1. Begin by heading north on U.S. 41 (a.k.a. Tamiami Trail) for approximately .02 miles to FRUITVILLE RD.
  2. Turn RIGHT on FRUITVILLE ROAD and continue east to INTERSTATE 75.
  3. Merge RIGHT onto I-75 NORTH (TOWARDS TAMPA) to UNIVERSITY PARKWAY (exit 213).
  4. Take UNIVERSITY PKWY east to LORRAINE ROAD (5th traffic light).
  5. Turn left on LORRAINE RD and head NORTH 1.9 miles to 70th TERRACE EAST
  6. Turn RIGHT onto 70th TERRACE EAST, The Ritz-Carlton Members Golf Club (15150 70th Terrace East Bradenton, FL 34202).

If you go past the entrance, you will reach the 2nd traffic light on Lorraine Road. Please make a U-turn and take the first left into The Ritz-Carlton Members Golf


From The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota to The Ritz-Carlton Members Beach Club

  1. Please exit The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota via the North Driveway.
  2. Turn Right onto John Ringling Boulevard/SR-789.
  3. Continue on John Ringling Boulevard/SR-789 for 2.1 miles.
  4. Continue through St-Armands’ Circle in the RIGHT lane and bear right onto Ben Franklin Drive, going West.
  5. Continue on Ben Franklin Drive for approximately one mile.
  6. The Ritz-Carlton Members Beach Club will be on your RIGHT,
    immediately before a sharp turn in the road.
